I've always wondered about this soda...

Here's a little blurb from the San Jose Mercury News about Belfast Sparkling Cider, a soda that's ubiquitous at nearly all Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area.

It honestly doesn't taste much like anything, but it goes great with some Hennessy or Courvoisier when you're stuck at some god-awful Chinese wedding banquet by my relatives...

Oops, did I say that out loud?

I think I had that "cider" a few weeks ago at some Chinese restaurant in San Leandro. It taste like ... NOTHING. But it was a hot day, and homegirl was thirsty, so I guzzled it down like no tomorrow!

That's the only reason why anyone would drink it. The husband doesn't like it at all, and when we went to Koi Palace in DC, they had Sprite instead. We stuck with the hot tea.
